Getting Printers to Work:

A. Cancel All Print Jobs:

If any print jobs are stuck, then that may be eating up system resources. Go Here: Manage Printers and Print Jobs - Apple Support

B. Get the Drivers Only from the Manufacturer:

So, what's the model of the printer? Was it set up and configured any different on the other users? IMPORTANT: Be certain to always get drivers from the manufacturers site, and none other; elsewise you may end up with a scam.

C. Update the Printer Drivers:

Update your Printer Software if your Printer has a Printing Problem on Mac - Apple Support

D Add the Printer Back:

Remove the printer, and then add it back. If you have an app for this printer, then uninstall it, by dragging it to the trash. Then, restart the Mac, and see if this issue goes away.

Removing the Printer: Remove a Printer from your Printer list when you don’t Use it on Mac - Apple Support

Adding the Printer: Add a Printer to your Printer List so you can Use it on Mac - Apple Support

Troubleshoot this User Account:

If troubleshooting the Printer doesn't help, then maybe a matter of troubleshooting the user on the macOS.

A. Boot Into Safe Mode:

Go here: Start up your Mac in Safe Mode - Apple Support. In Safe Mode, damaged system files (i.e. caches) are fixed, and replaced.

B. Reinstall the MacOS:

Another option, I'd say, you be to back up the Mac, and then reinstall the macOS. You would backup your Mac, and then reinstall it. Nothing would be removed. It's just that items that have been moved or corrupted, would be placed back to where they should be or replaced, respectively. But, more on that later, if it comes to that. I look forward to hearing back from you. Keep us up to date. Go here: How to Reinstall macOS - Apple Support

Important - Always Back Up the Mac Prior:

Create a Time Machine backup of your Mac, so that you can have something to restore your Mac from, should anything go wrong with the reinstall. Use an external drive at least 1.5 times the size in storage capacity for the creation of future backups. If you create new ones, then the old one would be overwritten, and you'd lose one.

C. Restore from a Time Machine Backup:

If you are not concerned for loss of data, then a restoration might just work. Did you ever create a Time Machine Backup prior to this? If so, create a Time Machine Backup of your Mac, and then restore the Mac the Mac the Time Machine Backup. Once restored, create a Time Machine backup, once more. You, and then recover items from the from the Time Machine Backup you created just prior to the restore, using Migration Assistant. If you never crated one, then take this as a learning experience, knowing to always create a Time Machine Backup of it, prior to making any changes to it, whatsoever, such as software and update installs.
