Reporting a Mac app impersonating Netflix

Hi, I want to report a Mac app that is impersonating an official Netflix app. I thought it was an official Netflix app, but it wasn’t.

“Streaming for Netflix”:

The name and look made me think it offered Netflix streaming, but it only does simple search and then opens a browser. The branding, icon, and repeated use of “Netflix” in the name made me believe it was affiliated with Netflix when it’s not..

Actually, there are a lot of these impersonating apps on the App Store, but no one seems to be doing anything about them..

In the user reviews, I saw lots of people who were also misled by this app.

How can I report this issue to Apple officially?

Thanks.

Hi, I’d like to report a Mac application that appears to be impersonating an official Netflix app. The app is titled “Streaming for Netflix” and can be found here:

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/streaming-for-netflix/id6751184690?mt=12

I downloaded it because the name, icon, and overall presentation strongly suggested that it was an official Netflix product. The branding uses “Netflix” prominently and the design closely resembles what you’d expect from an authorized Netflix app.

However, after installing it, I realized it is not affiliated with Netflix at all. The app does not provide actual Netflix streaming. Instead, it performs a basic search and then opens the results in a web browser. This is misleading, particularly because the app’s name and appearance imply official status.

I’m reporting it because the use of Netflix’s name and branding could easily mislead other users in the same way it misled me. It seems to violate guidelines regarding impersonation and misleading representation.
