IOS 26.1 Has Removed Emojis While Using the Apple Keyboard with My iPad Pro
The 26.1 IOS update has removed the emoji icon button in the bottom right screen of my iPad while using the Apple keyboard. Is there any way to get this back?

Try checking if the emoji keyboard is added to your keyboards.
Go to:
Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards > if Emoji is not listed, tap Add New Keyboard, and search for Emoji. Tap to add.

When you are connected to a keyboard, the keyboard is not displayed on the screen.
I know you can choose to show the software keyboard while using the hardware keyboard, but why not just use the shortcut for Emojis when you are using the keyboard anyway?
When your iPad is connected to your keyboard, use the globe button on the bottom left. It is a direct shortcut to Emojis. It works on my iPad keyboard, and I don't have to tap x or anything to get out of it. It feels really intuitive.
Yes, I did that already. It is there. I also removed it, rebooted the iPad and added it back on after but it still doesn’t come up. If the iPad is not using the Apple keyboard, it is there, but when connected to the keyboard I have to click on the plus sign, then only genemoji comes up, then x out of that, then the regular emoji page comes up, ridiculous. Also ridiculous that I’m using an APPLE KEYBOARD and their new update takes away this function (sad face). Thank you for taking the time to reply.
THANK YOU! I did not know what the key was for and it works. Thank you so much for taking the time to help me, I really appreciate it. 🙏🏼
You're welcome. I'm only happy to help. Now you can really push some emojis 🚀☺️
