Can't access main Apple Music account on second iPad

I want to be able to play Apple Music on a second iPad with my main Apple account. I’ve downloaded the app, but I can’t access my original account. The app only allows me to see my secondary account on the second iPad. Do I need to set up a second Apple account for the second iPad? I also have a family plan for AppleMusic.
