iPhone 17 keyboard and screen touch sensitivity issues

So I bought an iPhone 17 a few weeks ago.

But when I first received it, I noticed that the left side of the keyboard was not really responsive and glitchy.

So Q key, A key, Shift key - I had to tap multiple times or tap very slowly.

And the worst one was the 123 key. I type very fast, and when I tap the 123 key right after typing something, the whole keyboard glitches and it won’t swap the keyboard.

But if I wait like 0.5 seconds and then tap the 123 key, it works fine.

I’ve also noticed that when I use one-handed mode on the keyboard and push the keyboard to the right side, this doesn’t happen.

So I thought it was a hardware issue and sent my phone back because the chat support wasn’t really helpful.

Then I received my replacement, and it still has the exact same issue - that keyboard issue.

I’ve noticed that in general, the touch sensitivity is not that great. The phone is not really responsive to touch, especially the left edge. So things like tapping the back button, scrolling down with my left thumb, etc. often require clicking the same button like five times.

It also kind of happens on the top edge, right edge, and bottom edge, but I think the left side is the most prominent.

The thing is, they usually happen when I tap with the side of my thumb. If I tap or scroll slowly with the pad of my thumb, it works fine for the most part. I have no idea if this is a hardware issue or an iOS 26 issue. My iPhone 12 is totally fine tho, but its on iOS 18 so...

So if you go into settings-display and brightness-display zoomed-larger text.

They switched the name of zoomed to larger text. It should be at the bottom of display and brightness. Let me know if it works for you. Ive had it since they switched over from 3d touch to haptic touch and that was during ios 18 I think but it got worse with ios 26 so I’m not 100% sure why.

I am also having an issue with the keyboard as well. Im on a iphone 15 pro max. It seems like whatever they did to switch the software to haptic touch messed something up. That is when this started for me. I think they need to fix the haptic touch part of the software or change it back to what it was before. It could also be for some reason something with the size of the keyboard. If you switch it zoomed for the keyboard to be bigger, it works properly.
