Document Scanning in iPad Notes

Open the Notes App on your iPad.2

Create a New Note or open an existing note where you want to add the scan.

Start the Scan:

Tap the Camera icon (it usually looks like a camera).4 This icon is typically above the keyboard or in the toolbar at the top of the note.

If you don't see the camera icon, you may need to tap the Plus sign (+)or the Attachments button (which looks like a paperclip 📎 in newer iPadOS versions) first, then select Scan Documents.

Position the Document: The camera view will open. Position your iPad over the document you want to scan.

Capture the Scan:

In Auto mode (default), your iPad will automatically detect the document's edges (a yellow box will appear) and capture the scan.

If you need to manually capture it, tap the Shutter button (the white circle).Yo u can also press one of the Volume buttons.

After the scan, you may need to adjust the corners to crop the page precisely, then tap Keep Scan.

Scan More Pages (Optional): If your document has multiple pages, continue to hold your iPad over the next pages, and it will keep adding them to the same scanned document.12

Save the Scan: When you are finished, tap Save (usually in the bottom-right corner).
