I have been a Mac user for years and have found a 'Screenshot App' called 'Skitch' at
This is great as it creates the basic filename from the grab.
I have just had to get a new Macbook air due to issues, and now when I'm trying to downlaid Skitch, which is on the App Store, it says it fails to install?
Is there a workaround for this, as I really love this App?

What Mac did you use before the new Macbook Air? On the new Mac, did you get an advisory that you need Rosetta?
On the Apple Store site for that app, I found that there has been no comments or updates from the developer in five years, and this revealing user comment from three years ago:
That suggests the developer abandoned it instead of rewriting it to work on Apple Silicon Macs like your new Macbook Air.
Since Day One of the computing era, it has the responsibly of developers to keep up with hardware and OS developers, not the other way around. Apple cannot fix this because it is not their product.
However if you look in the App Store for Skitch, there are other apps that show a similar function.

Thanks for the reply.
I didn't get any advisory to use Rosetta. It shows on iCloud as I have used before, when downloaded, I get the attached error.
I am going to use Shottr to see how that works.
