I have used Word for Mac for a long time (last edition I had was but to save $ I stopped paying for it and am trying to learn to use Pages. I find it very difficult Advice?

Microsoft provided evolutionary feature updates to Word based on corporate user requirements for nearly 40 years. Apple's Pages was never designed to be a Word clone, or even compete on features with Word, or any other word-processing application. You are essentially starting over when moving from Word to Pages.

I also happen to have the single-purchase Office 2024 for Mac Home and Student on macOS Tahoe 26.1. It cost me $159 on stacksocial dot com and does not have any Microsoft AI garbage in it.
