IOS 26 and GPS Signal

I have an iPhone 13mini and ever since IOS 26 (and 26.1) my GPS apps seem to loose the GPS signal. It is not all the time. It usually starts out OK then after a while it's like the GPS signal just stops and my apps (any of them) seem to not know where I am. I have tried the basic fixes like...

  • Restart iPhone
  • Turn Airplane mode on then off again
  • Made sure I have a network signal (Car play says I do)
  • Checked date and time and also made sure locations services is on.
  • I also made sure that my location services "Precise Location" was on.

I have even gone as far as resetting my location services in my iPhone. That was scary and annoying at the same time as each app re-asked if I would like that service turned on again.

The Apps I have that all use Car Play are, Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze and Tom Tom.

Does anyone have any new suggestions for my GPS signal on my iPhone 13 mini to work at least 99.9% of the time.

Thank you LD150 for taking the time to read and respond to my post.

I cannot confirm if the chip is faulty or not (unless someone has a good test). I can tell you for sure that is happens on an open highway with no obstructions by trees or buildings. The iPhone sits on the console when driving my car and inside a plastic cover when riding my motorcycle (Goldwing).
