App Store and iTunes not working on iPod touch 4th gen

Hi! I have a iPod touch 4th, iOS 6.1.6.

I want to add this device to my account, but I can't because App Store and iTunes aren't working. How can I solve this problem?

Are there any special security certificates or settings that I need to use?

No, you cannot run the App Store directly on an iPod Touch 4th generation with iOS 6.1.6 because Apple has discontinued support for this outdated operating system. This is for security reasons. You can possibly use a computer with the iTunes Store to download apps and then transfer them to your device. But most apps would require a higher OS than your iPod is capable of.
