How do I remove an unwanted certificate and restore email access on my MacBook?

I allowed someone to make a certificate for a business on my laptop since they needed a MacBook platform and now i cant delete it and i'm not getting any of my emails

Could you provide a screenshot of the certificate?


I’m unaware of any Mac-specific certificates.


The Apple-provided certificates cannot be deleted, though user-created certificates can be.


i’ve also encountered people that refer to MDM profiles as certificates. Did you possibly permit somebody to load an unknown management profile, or a VPN ormsuch?


What can you do? Restore your backup from prior to whatever was changed.


Adding or creating a certificate is unrelated to mail, though it is quite easy to make other changes which can cause issues. That includes profiles, as well as VPNs, as well as other or nefarious changed.
