My Apple wall chargers failing frequently and how long should they last

I have only ever used Apple products but I do not feel Apple is putting its best foot forward, especially considering the cost of these items. What is with these wall adapters? I buy the best because I want my items to last. I have the new iPhone 17 Pro, running IOS 26.1, I have the newer SE running iOS 26.1 and my iPad Pro (11”) 3rd Generation running 18.6.2, pretty sure the iPad needs updating. Now my iPhone and iPads are beeping because, I believe the wall charger has gone bad… again. When I purchase another, tomorrow, this will be my fourth one in the year, to maybe year and one half. I can understand going through cords, they get a lot of use. What gives Apple? How long should I expect these to last?

Your experience is definitely an outlying one and not expected behavior at all. In fact I can't remember any other reports of such multiple failures in a short time. This leads me to believe there is something you are doing to cause this. Or there is something going on in your home with the electrical system.

If it were me I’d first call an electrician to check the electrical system in your home, looking for spikes, surges, high or low voltages, which can cause early failures in electronic devices.

Dropping it to many times will kill it. I have 10 years old chargers that still works. If you don’t want to spend $ on a new Apple Charger buy a $5 one from the dollar store.

The one I use regularly I have had for 6-7 years, but have others when they were included with device purchases as a backup in case they are ever needed.

Which one did you purchase from Apple?

Apple branded Power Adapters come with a one year warranty, so not sure why the ones you previously purchased were not covered.
