Manually entry of health records/clinical documentation into Apple health

Right I see this has been asked a few times but seems to be United States based.

How Do I add clinical data into Apple health. In New Zealand and most other countries setting we don’t have “health records” option

we have “clinical documents” option it says “your health care provider may make your health records available as clinical documents architecture files (CDAs) on there website, over email or in an app. You can add these records to health for your reference and for sharing with other providers.”

now the position I’m in is our portals here don’t give us this option. And any records iv requested only come as a pdf printed in the post. Docs won’t send and even if they did what app would be used to upload it.?

I want to be able to manually enter these but I don’t see any categories for lab results or anything like this. I have since set my phone to USA and searched for my provider and sure enough only USA Canada and united kingdom providers are available.?

Are the rest of the world’s health records not as important or something.? It’s frustrating as there is an untold number of people that want to be able to put this in one place even if it has to be manually entered. I have put many requests to Apple to give us the option of manually entering data like lab results immunisations ect ect in.

feels like your not an British, Canadian or American who cares.

thought the idea was to be included in our health journey.

Assuming you are using iOS 26 on your iPhone 17 Pro:

Apple Support's online article for iOs 26 : Intro to Health data on iPhone - Apple Support

Eg: says:

"Data that you add manually"

  • Add your medications, vitamins, and supplements: By adding these items, you can get reminders to take them and learn more about them. See Track your medications in Health.

  • Add information to a Medical ID: You can provide information about your medical conditions, medications, emergency contacts, and more in an emergency Medical ID. First responders and others can view this critical information directly on your iPhone, even while it’s locked. See Set up and view your Medical ID.

  • Add information to other Health categories: Tap  at the bottom right of Health, tap a category, tap  for the data you want to update, then tap Add Data at the top right."

Above linked article also says: "Health data from other apps and devices

As you set up health and fitness apps that you download from the App Store,

follow their onscreen instructions to allow them to share data with Health.

To store data from devices like blood pressure monitors and weight scales, follow their setup instructions. Bluetooth®devices need to be paired with iPhone.

Note: You can change health data permissions for apps and devices at any time."

This third-party non-Apple article(link below) Updated: October 13th, 2025

https://www.devicemag.com/how-to-import-health-data-iphone/

Explains:

: ...  there is always the option of manually importing your health data using a CSV file (comma-separated values). You can create a CSV file containing all of your health information then select it in the Health app on your new iPhone and hit “Import”. Make sure not to include entries that have already been imported as this could lead to duplicate entries in the Health app!"

Am in Australia: I care: Mostly, any info. I seek out from Apple's extensive documentation available opens online with "au" for Australia in the web-address (URL), so I know it applies ok, sometimes particularly so.

Don't you get "nz" in the URL on "how-to" web-pages from Apple ?

  • Inquiring about availability of, or asking local medical authorities for, digital records can't hurt.
  • Scanning paper records in (photographing, or making screen-shots) may be possible ...
  • Why not be creative / start your own Health Folder for easy access in the Files or Notes app ?

It may be up to the medical authorities in a country, a region, a city, a practice, who decide whether or not to make digital records available to download. Apple seems to be forward-looking in providing what it does.
