My new Apple Watch Series 11 dim even at full brightness

I got a new Apple Watch Series 11, running iOS 26.1 and it appears very dim, even at full brightness. I have it side by side with my Series 2 on the same watch face at full brightness and it's not nearly as bright. It almost looks like what you would expect at 50% brightness. The support team ran remote diagnostics and said everything was fine. Anyone else notice this?
