My iPhone 16 Pro, purchased in New York, was stolen in Brazil. Can I use the "AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss" coverage? What should I do?

There is a list pf countries you can travel to where you are covered. Brazil does not seem to be on the list.

I don’t know about the insurance aspect, but you should use Find My to mark the phone as Lost.
Beware messages from “Apple Security”, the “Police”, etc. claiming that want to reunite you with your phone - and asking for your Apple Account credentials, your passcode, and/or the removal of your phone from the list of devices associated with your Apple Account. These are NOT from Apple, but from the thieves or fences who want to trick you into helping them “make your phone their own.”
