Cannot Bluetooth connect help please

My AirPods 4 case won’t Bluetooth connect. So the AirPods still turn on when I put them in my ears, the case still charges and lights up when I plug it in. The AirPods show up on my Bluetooth but they won’t connect. I am unable to factory reset, light will only turn on when it is being charged. Tapping the case has not worked and I have tried it in at least 3-4 different ways. What do I do?
