Where did Contacts mailing addresses go?

I just checked my Contacts for a physical mailing address for someone only to find that almost all of the mailing addresses have been deleted! I have to go to edit to even find the option to add addresses. I could only find one contact whose mailing address was still there. Is there a way to recover mailing addresses? I'm currently running iOS 18.6.2.
