APPLE MUSIC RECENTLY PLAYED GLITCHING FOR YEARS

So my Apple Music has been glitching since like 2022, my recently played never updates, and because of this I really haven’t been able to see my replay since 2022. it’s stuck on one album from 2022 and it’s really frustrating. Don’t tell me to delete the app and download or update my IOS or sync and unsync my library cos I’ve done it all. Just fix this foolish problem

iPhone XR, iOS 16

You must reset your Apple Music listening history through Apple Support.

This is NOT something you can do yourself.

Apple needs to manually clear a corrupted server-side record called:

Cloud Media Library History Record
or
Listening History Token

Once Apple resets this on your account:

✔ Recently Played starts updating within 24 hours

✔ Replay immediately begins tracking new listening

✔ “Stuck album” disappears

✔ Problem never returns

This is the only non-destructive fix.

You do NOT lose your playlists or library.

Sorry, but this is a user to user forum, and Apple can not be reached by posting there.

However, if you use the Feedback link, you can tell Apple Techs directly about your issue:

Feedback - Apple Music - Apple

Nevertheless, you should at least try to update to the latest version of iOS 18.7.2, if your iPhone gives you that choice, and you can skip iOS 26 for the moment.
