How can a verified A2651 iPhone 14 Pro Max have dual physical SIMs when Apple says this model is eSIM-only?

I purchased a refurbished iPhone 14 Pro Max from a website in the UAE (Revibe). Everything about the phone was excellent until I had to add in an eSim. Given the website is based in the Middle East, I assumed I'd get a middle-eastern variant of the iPhone (which has 1 Physical SIM and 2 eSIMs). However, I only see a "Front" and "Back" SIM option. This is puzzling because based on my research, the only variant to offer dual physical SIM is the Chinese (HK) variant but according to Apple's website (Identify your iPhone model - Apple Support) my model number is A2651 which makes it a US/Puerto Rico variant which is also puzzling because the US/Puerto Rico version shipped with 2 eSIMS, not 2 physical dual SIMs.

I'm very confused. How is this even possible? Did I get scammed? I don't think I did because the phone is working excellently save for this physical/eSim issue.

is that even possible to modify the model number of a phone? I thought it was impossible considering the model number is burned into the device?

As I said, we do see reports on this site of model number changes on phones that have been reworked by unauthorized shops who know that the "model number" is not burned in to every component in a phone.

"Frankenphone"......which is a play on the word "Frankenstein"....is a good way to describe these types of phones.
