How do I resolve DHCP issue with iPhone 17 Pro on old dnsmasq network?

I have a new iPhone 17 Pro and it won’t connect properly to my WiFi network. Appears to be a DHCP Issue.

My DHCP is (very) old dnsmasq on a Raspberry Pi.

The iPhone is talking to dnsmasq because I see requests and DHCPOFFER responses but these repeat over and over and over. The iPhone can see the local network despite this but cannot see the internet.

There’s no problem with any other Apple devices.

Yep that’s sorted it for now - thanks. Should have thought of that myself :-(

Might be old version of dnsmasq I have - will build newer version when I get a chance on a newer Pi.

(Need to stay on Pi +dnsmasq - need full control over IP stuff for assorted reasons).

Still - must be an iPhone 17 related issue because other devices on same iOS / iPadOS are fine.
