Cannot remove Firefox from MacBook Air

I cannot remove Firefox 145.0.2 from a Mac Book Air M4 running Tahoe 26.1. I am setting the machine up, and plan to reinstall.

The app won't drag to the Trash. I am the admin.

Last Mac was a powerbook, so please indulge my ignorance. Thanks

I can only assume it's because Firefox is still running. You need to close an app before you can remove it.
