iPhone 7+ fell on a corner and refuses to boot correctly.

iPhone 7+ fell on a corner and is now stuck in a boot-restart loop, stays a few seconds and then shows the apple logo when plugged — the screen turned black immediately on impact, is this a battery / hardware issue? What should I do if I have no apple stores nearby?

Some context,

The screen also seems not to have been properly repaired from the sides (I.e a bit loose just so you can see the phone glowing from inside) and I think it had been hit there.

This is the first time this has happened (reboot loop) I’m pretty sure I’ve dropped my phone twice from the same insignificant height but this has not happened before.

EDIT : I also really *cant* replace this phone since it has a significant amount of important files & what not on it + for a few other reasons that I think would be better to repair > replace because of them.

Clearly the fall caused damage and we can't offer any way to fix it without visiting an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider. If you're in the US, you can visit any BestBuy store as they are authorized. But honestly, it would be a BAD investment to put any money into fixing an iPhone 7+. iPhone 7+ was released in 2016, so you're dealing with a VERY old 9 year old iPhone, which is not capable of running iOS 16, 17, 18 or the newest iOS 26. You'd be better off applying whatever it could cost (if it can even be fixed at this point) towards a new iPhone.

You don't need to have an Apple Store nearby, but you do need to find an authorized Apple service shop.

Use the link below to find authorized shops in your area:

Hopefully, there is an Apple authorized shop that is not too far away. Worst case, you may need to ship the phone in for inspection and an estimate of repairs.

Chances are though, that the repairs.....if they are possible.....will be really expensive, and parts may not be still available for your older phone, so the money would likely be better spent on a new phone.

Your call on that.

Do you mean that the damage is *irrepairable*? (ref last 2 sentences)
Or is it just hard to fix?

No one here can tell whether the damage is repairable or not. What we're ALL telling you is it would not be worth spending money to fix your very old iPhone. It's just NOT worth it. It's time to buy a new iPhone. Even if it could be fixed (Apple will likely offer you an out of warranty replacement - IF they even have any anymore) and that would run $350. That's way too much money to put into an iPhone which Apple considers obsolete. Typically, Apple doesn't even attempt to work on obsolete devices.
