In iOS 18, when you saved multiple numbers for a single contact, the Phone app would highlight/show the specific number you most recently called, received a call from, or missed a call from.
This behaviour is no longer the same in iOS 26. If there is then someone should assist me.

iOS 26 changed the default to Unified layout. I believe if you revert to Classic layout, you can reclaim those properties that disappeared.
sberman is correct about the Home, Work, Mobile labels. However the "Recent" label has gone completely.

Also note Recently Called now shows which number is used here. This contact happens to have three telephone numbers: Work, Main, and Other.
