Touch ID login not working.
I'm not able to login to my macbook pro using the touch id.
MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 15.7
To fix Touch ID not working:
- Ensure Touch ID unlock is enabled
- Clean your finger and sensor
- Restart your Mac
- Add a new fingerprint
- Delete old fingerprints
- Enter password after restart (Touch ID won’t work yet)
- Reset SMC (Intel)
- Test in Safe Mode
- If enrollment fails, it’s a hardware issue → needs service
