Burning fingertips from tiny crack on iPhone screen

I love my iPhone and iPad! Over the past few months I have been experiencing a burning sensation when using the IPhone for games. I have never had chemo and I am in good health. I wanted to caution users to check the IPhone screen for tiny cracks if this happens to you. I have a screen protector and recently noticed a tiny crack . The phone worked fine so I have continued to use it. The phone is not overheating . I just made a connection between the screen crack and the pain in the tips of my fingers. I just ordered a new phone. Praying this takes care of the issue. The pain is bad! My fingertips are very sore even the next day.
