iMessage Issue with new iPhone 16e

My mom updated her iphone to an iphone 16e and changed service providers to AT&T. Her texts to my sister and me now show up as if she is texting from another brand of phone, like an Android. My sister and I also have iPhones. What is causing her imessage abilities to be off? I also cannot text her from my iPad, which is Wi-Fi only. Her name shows up in red.

on her phone, whenever changing provider or SIM or number or a combination...


.1.    Settings, Apps, Messages,


2.    turn off iMessage   


3.    Settings, Apps, Facetime,


4.    Turn off Facetime,   


5.    Power down the phone


6.    Turn on the phone again 


7.    Settings, Apps, Messages, turn on iMessage,   


8.    Settings, Apps, Facetime, turn on Facetime
