Unable to download new footage to FCP or iMovie from an SD card.

I'm unable to download new footage from two different SD cards to FCP. I have used the same video cameras for several years and have footage that I shot from a few days ago. I can view the new footage on my cameras, but when I try to download the new footage, only older footage on the card (from a year ago) appears in the FCP download window. I have changed the settings in Files and Folders to give FCP and iMovie full access. I have a MacBook Pro with the M3 chip and am running FCP 11.2 and Safari 18.6. In the past, I have used the same cameras and cards to edit with FCP on this computer with no issues.

I tried downloading the new footage into iMovie, and it worked for one of the SD cards, but I cannot duplicate the process with the second card on either iMovie nor FCP.

I tried on my wife's MacBook, which also has FCP and iMovie, and it was the same result--the downloading window only showed the older footage.

Any help is appreciated.
