Saving Word documents to iCloud instead of OneDrive

Saving a word document to my iCloud files instead of one drive. I’ve searched, but all the answers are from 3 years ago, and therefore not relevant. and I’ve asked ChatGPT, but they aren’t any help either.

Saving Word Files Elsewhere:

Save these to your Desktop, but you need to do so manually...


I. Remove OneDrive as a Login Item:

  1. Go to: System Settings
  2. Click: General
  3. Click: Login Items & Extensions
  4. Toggle Off: Microsoft OneDrive
  5. Toggle Off: OneDrive


then..

II. Save to iCloud Drive:

  1. Click: Word Menu
  2. Select: File
  3. Click: iCloud Drive (on the left pane)
  4. Click: Save
