Songs missing after syncing iPhone with Mac's music library

A number of songs won't show on my iPhone after I sync with the music library on my mac. I have the music files stored on my computer. On my computer, when I view my iPhone in Music under devices the songs ARE listed, but they do not appear on the Music app of my phone.

For example, I'll have an 11 song album, and only 5 songs show up in the Apple Music library on my phone. The other 6 songs aren't grayed out, they're not listed at all.

These are songs I used to have on my phone, but I had to delete the downloaded files to make enough space to install iOS 26.1. Had I known I wouldn't have been able to properly re-download my music I wouldn't have done it.

I was able to fix it by clicking 'Reset Warning,' which erased my sync history, and then synced the music library again. Apple ought to change how that button is labeled or add info to explain that it resets the sync history, as it was unclear what the button would do.
