iPad Pro Magic Keyboard search typing delay

I have an Ipad pro and and a magic keyboard. running ios 26.2! When using the two finger swipe to launch the search window there are NO keybord strikes possbile in the search window.. I have to perform the swipe always twice to be able to type..... via the magic keyboard
