i did that shortly after posting to this community. had my suspicions when my keyboard (MiniLab3-Arturia) was not operating as intended in logic pro. the update synchronization really is a pain. definitely keeps me from being more fluid with my music projects. i guess i can always not update in the future to avoid this.

Always a good idea to confirm compatibility with a macOS upgrade/update with the developers of any 3rd party software that’s critical for you…before applying the upgrade/update. My personal Mac is on Tahoe, but my work Mac is still on Sequoia for just that reason.
