How do I turn on a MacBook Air M4 with a USB-C charger after not charging for over half a month?

Hey. I haven't charged my MacBook air m4 in over half a month and I'm charging it with a usb c charger, I have over let it sit for about 20-30 minutes or more charging. mi trying to do the SMC and the C+P+R it just shows the battery icon I have tried everything. how do I turn it on so I can check stuff on it? thank you

You might need to let sit for longer -- like an entire day. Be patient. Also, try different USB-C charger and cable if not the Apple originals. Also, try a MagSafe charging cable. If all fail, time for visit to Apple Auth Service Provider.

The M-series Macs reset the SMC automatically when restarted, and there is also no key chord for resetting the NVRAM that with the M-series Macs.


Not having charged the laptop for two or three weeks should not cause it to behave as you've described.
