Face/Initials of sender blocking text in "Messages" after 26.2 load on watch.

After loading 26.2 to watch, the contact's face (or initials) appears over the text. Text is unreadable because it's under the face. If you get out and into "Messages" directly, that text i isn't there. Any options that might resolve this issue?
