Problem with using my iPad for my iPhone screen mirroring source.

I'm trying to do the following and hitting a major wall. Not sure exactly what I'm doing wrong.

I want to start recording content on my iPhone and while I'm doing that, I want to monitor the recording on my iPad. Seems like a pretty simple and common use-case for screen mirroring.

I have an iPhone 14 and an iPad Pro 11 inch first generation. On the AirPlay and Continuity settings of my iPad, I have all the necessary settings turned on. The AirPlay receiver is On and the Allow permission is for everyone. (both of these devices are on the same Wifi network, Bluetooth is turned on and using the same iCloud account). iPad OS 18.7.3

When I do the screen mirroring on my iPhone, I do not see the iPad as a source. I see my Macbook Pro or my Mac Studio, but not the iPad.

Am I trying to do something that is not supported?! At this point, I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. Thank you.

What you want to do isn't supported between iPhone and iPad, so I'm sure you are up against a wall. You can mirror an iPhone to a MacBook. You may be able to find a 3rd party app in the App Store, which permits this, but natively, what you want to do isn't an available option.
