Audio output via USB external speakers stopped working

Mac Mini M2 Pro

MacOS Tahoe 26.2

Audioengine A2+ Speakers connected via USB-A port

Audio output was working fine until now. I can hear audio slightly but only if my ears were next to the speakers.

Is this a known issue?

Tried restarting, power cycling, killing coreaudiod process with no luck.
