Audio Recording Issue When Using CarPlay
Hello Apple Support,
I’m writing to report a recurring audio recording problem when using CarPlay. Whenever I play music in my car through CarPlay and then record a video in apps like Snapchat or Instagram, the recorded audio becomes distorted, extremely quiet or even partially missing. The same iPhone works fine if I use the native Camera app, or if I disconnect CarPlay. I have tested multiple iPhones, multiple cars, reset devices and cars, and updated iOS to version 26.1, but the issue remains.
It appears to be a system-level bug linked to CarPlay and third-party apps’ audio/ microphone handling.
Steps taken: updated iOS, different cables, different vehicles, reset settings.
I would appreciate your investigation into this matter.
