I grew up in the greater Cincinnati area in the days of the Big Red Machine, was introduced to computers and science fiction my senior year of high school, took far too long to graduate from college, and have lived in rural central Ohio for most of the last 30 years. I have taught STEM for more than 20 years, I am a programmer, a blogger, and love theatre and live music. Ten years ago I started a VEX robotics program at my high school and remain the team’s coach despite retiring in 2021.
