Earphones shipped with the box are not supported by my iPhone

The earphones that shipped with the box are not supported by my iphone, after i connect them just after few mins, it shows that the accessory may not be supported by this iphone, what should i do now?

return it under warranty the warranty covers everything in the box and you can't be sure if its the headset or the phones connector which is the cause


though if you have access you could troubleshoot by trying the headset with another phone and the phone with another headset
