Issues with Safari, but not FireFox

recently purchased a new MacBook Air, transferred all files and settings from older Mac. Up and running fine until a week ago when Safari now is intermittent when connecting to the internet. Only change I've made is to my icloud password. That's it.

Settings>icloud view - at times the machine is connected to icloud, at other times it cannot connect. I don't see any pattern as to when this does or does not happen, but i think it is related to my safari problem.

Does anyone else have this issue? I've called support for Apple, and searched far and wide on the boards with not much success.

Thanks

Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. Please post back on whether or not this worked. Also try the Safe Mode. Please post back on whether or not this worked.

In the last few years Safari browser has many new problems and when Netflix first came out to the public in 2007 and Safari worked. After a 3 years passed and on Safari I could not watch Netflix on my desktop Apple computer anymore. I tried an tried and just gave up using Safari. I use Firefox, Chrome or Opera now and last month I again try to use Safari watching Netflix and it works now on February 2019. Maybe because Safari is a very old old browser and Firefox, Chrome and Opera is a very new browser now.
