disc burning in target mode

Mac mini, 2014, Yosemite.

Thought I would be able to use the disc on my Mac Pro via target mode to burn music from iTunes.

Not possible??

Thanks.

Mac mini, OS X 10.10

If you mean the remote disk feature as described here - https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT203973

Then no this will not allow burning.

If you mean accessing the CD/DVD drive of a Mac Pro by the Mac mini when they are connected via Target Disk mode then I don't know for certain but it might be possible. They would have to be connected via FireWire, this means you would need the Apple Thunderbolt to FireWire adapter for the Mac mini 2014 end.
