Siri says “Ok, playing Beats 1” but nothing plays

Since a while ago I started facing a strange issue which did not happen before. When I ask Siri on HomePod to play Beats 1, Siri acknowledges and tells me “Beats 1, live and direct to you!” (from the HomePod) or similar, however no music comes out of the HomePod.

The HomePod works fine because I cam stream music from the iPhone with no issues.

More than that, if I power off (unplug) the HomePod and power it on again, it comes back to normal until next time it suddenly decides to behave again like described.

Is anyone experiencing this issue?

What should all I do to fix it?

Thanks,

HomePod

Not the exact issue, but yes, sometimes I get nothing. When it persists I just do what you’re doing, unplug it.

It can also be a wifi connection issue so troubleshoot that. Unplug the router for a minute to reboot it
