No, the iPhone does not need to be replaced. Apple can and will replace the battery.

"not user-serviceable" means end users themselves cannot replace the battery.

Yes. Make an appointment at the genius bar of your local Apple Store.

Apple does not sell batteries. The phone is not user serviceable.
