If I upgrade from the individual plan to the Family sharing plan during the free trial, do I start paying immediately or does the free trial still apply?

If you change from an Individual subscription to a Family subscription (as the paying Family Sharing organizer) during the trial period, then the trial period continues normally from the original start date of the first subscription. You do not get a new trial period.
