My iMac is stuck at the loading screen when i try turning it on, the progress bar fills up, but it gets stuck after that and it doesnt boot up. It gets stuck on the apple logo with the full progress bar below it. Please help!

If you cannot get it to boot after a SMC Reset or NVRAM reset, Safe Mode or in the Recovery Partition then you clearly have a hardware issue. Next step for that would be to take it to your local Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider to be diagnosed and repaired.

Have you tried booting into recovery and running Disk Utility?
I've tried that but it is still stuck on the apple logo after i hold on to the shift key when i turn on the computer
