Email sent from my name but not my email

Hi all

my friend has received and email saying it’s from the “me” as saved in her contacts, but it’s clearly a spammy link and not something I have sent. When she clicked on my name to check the email address it is showing as some random email address - not mine. Does this still mean my account has been hacked? Unsure what to do and couldn’t find correct topic to chat to someone from Apple. Have now changed my password just in case...unsure if anyone else has received this from me yet but trying to find out.

thanks so much!

Email addresses can be spoofed as that one was when your friend clicked on your name. That doesn't mean your account is hacked. Changing your password as a precaution was a good idea.
