If you recently updated your account, however, you can unenroll for a period of two weeks. Just open your enrollment confirmation email and click the link to return to your previous security settings.
Unless you only upgraded to two-factor authentication within the last 14 days, it is impossible to remove it as it is a permanent change to your Apple ID security.
