I recently switched my Apple ID to a new one but my App Store won’t recognise the change and still asks for the password from the old ID. It says in the ‘app store’ part of the settings that my new ID is in use and the name at the top of settings is my name and my new ID.
How do I make the App Store start using my new ID?

When are you seeing the old id ? If downloading updates to apps downloaded by the old account that is to be expected, all downloads are permanently tied to the account that downloaded them. If you want your apps linked to your new account delete them and buy and download them on the new account
