Audio out of sync in export FCPX

9/10 times I export a project, the timing doesnt line up in the exported file like it did in the project. I shoot a lot of music videos and this is driving me nuts. Has been happening over the past 6 months. FCPX is up to date. Tried re install. I've tried different frame rates (shooting and project / export settings) and I can't find any consistencies.

Anyone have similar issues / resolution?

Thank you!!!!

ok I think I found something... I am btw wired / wireless headphones + monitors at office. Playback in FCPX to my wireless beats is different from playback in quicktime player. Wtfff going to test this some more.

Thank you so much, I think this might be it.

  • This is happening with separate audio files. Attached audio syncs correctly
  • completely separate audio, not synched
  • This current project is m4a audio 44.1 kHz sample rate (original file + project / export settings match)

This has happened with m4a, mp3, WAV formats.

I assume this is not happening with video clips with attached audio, but with separate audio files. Has the video and audio been synced in the sync clip function, or is this completely separate audio? What are the audio sample rates if the video files and of the separate audio? What are the audio file formats you're using?
