If I buy a new iPhone, do I have to pay for an app again

I both an app at AppStore and I’m wondering if when I buy a new iPhone, do I have to pay for that app again or how does it work?

If the app is still in the store you should be able to redownload it for free : Redownload apps, music, movies, TV shows, and books from the App Store, iTunes Store, and Apple Books - Apple Support
