Restore to factory settings

How do I restore a 2010 MacBook to its original factory settings (want to sell it), and since I have updated it (new operating system) - will that be lost?

Click here and follow the instructions. If the computer's firmware wasn't upgraded to use the Internet Recovery system, when you reach step 6, insert a compatible Mac OS X install DVD, restart with the C or Option key held down, use the Disk Utility to erase the internal drive, and install a fresh OS.
